What is Missions?

At Lakewood we see them as opportunities to share our hope in a relationship with God, through what Jesus did on the cross.
We share this hope according to God's plan and His word in Acts 1:8, which says:

      "but when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, you will receive power and will tell people about Me everywhere -- in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and to the ends of the earth."

We pray and plan for opportunities to share this hope within our community, country, other people groups and even foreign lands. Evangelism and Missions at Lakewood is a supporting, praying and going opportunity.   It is our prayer and desire that all of Lakewood would be "On Mission" through prayer, going, and supporting financially....personally, locally, and globally.
