Sit and Stitch, Prayer Shawl Ministry

  Please note:  May 27 will be our last meeting until Fall.

We meet twice in May, and are still creating prayer shawls.  If you have a desire to learn to knit, we can teach you!  All crafters are welcome to join us for a time of prayer and fellowship.  If you know anyone that would like a prayer shawl, or for more information contact Becky Vickery at vickerb@bellsouth.net or Phyllis Wiley at 770-532-6307, ext. 127.

The purpose of Lakewood’s Celebrate Recovery is to fellowship and celebrate God’s healing power in our lives through the eight recovery principles and the Christ-centered 12 steps. This experience allows us to be changed. We open the door by sharing our experiences, strengths, and hopes with one another. In addition, we become willing to accept God’s grace in solving our life problems.

By working the steps and applying their Biblical principles, we begin to grow spiritually. We become free from our addictive, compulsive, and dysfunctional behaviors. This freedom creates peace, serenity, joy, and most importantly, a stronger personal relationship with God and others.

As we progress through the principles we discover our personal, loving, and forgiving Higher Power – Jesus Christ.

We have made changes in our group meeting times! All groups will now meet on Tuesday evenings.

All groups for men and women meet at 6:30pm. Just come in the side door and follow the signs. We have step studies going on as well as other open share meetings.

Our next monthly fellowship is Tuesday, June 3,  in The Lodge at Lakewood.  We would love to have you join us!
