Lakewood Baptist Church- Dr. Smiley has been the pastor of Lakewood Baptist Church since 1990. Educated at Brewton Parker College and Blue Mountain College, Dr. Smiley received his master's degree from Southeastern Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina and his Doctor of Ministry degree from Columbia Seminary in Decatur, Georgia. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Don is a graduate of Southwest Baptist University and has a graduate degree from Southwestern Seminary in Ft. Worth, Texas. Don loves serving people and the Lord at Lakewood. Don also works very closely with the Senior Adults at Lakewood. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Mark has graduate music degrees from Campbellsville Baptist University and Southern Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Mark is a published composer, soloist, plays the guitar and trumpet and thoroughly enjoys leading the music ministry at Lakewood. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Jerry graduated from Asbury College in Wilmore, KY and the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Prior to joining the Lakewood staff he worked for over thirty years as a Marriage and Family Therapist. His desire is to provide support and encouragement to Lakewooders and their families when faced with hospitalization, trauma or grief. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Elizabeth is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and has a graduate degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia. Elizabeth has a great love for children and a heart for ministry. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Scott is a graduate of Georgia Southern University and has graduate degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling, Religious Education, and Divinity from Southwestern Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas. His heart is to connect every attendee of Lakewood into Authentic Community where they can grow to be like Christ through doing life together with others. Scott and his wife, Dawn, have a passion for marriage enrichment and enjoy leading studies, special events, and seminars on marriage at Lakewood and other locations in the Southeast. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Robert is a graduate of Brenau College in Gainesville, GA. He has worshiped at Lakewood for nine years and has been on staff since January of 1999. His career before ministry was in law enforcement for eleven years. Robert has a passion for introducing people to God's love through a relationship with Jesus Christ. He enjoys mission work, both locally and abroad. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Greg is currently serving as our Minister of Students. Greg is a North Georgia native, originally from Cornelia, GA. He graduated from Habersham Central H.S. and then received a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of Georgia. After teaching high school for four years in Bradenton, FL, he answered the call to full-time ministry and received a Master's of Arts in Christian Education from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, in Wake Forest, NC. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Cliff is currently serving as our Minister to High School students. He is originally from Blacksburg, SC. He graduated from Clemson University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management. Cliff is currently attending the North Georgia extension center of New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary pursing a Master’s of Divinity degree with a focus on Christian Education. He has a passion and love for high school students from all walks of life, and wants to see high school students serving the Lord with all of their hearts. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Matt is currently a Senior at North Georgia College and State University and plans to graduate in December. His desire is to see middle schoolers develop a passion for Jesus Christ and for showing His love to the world in which they live. 

Lakewood Baptist Church- Phyllis is a graduate of Brenau College in Gainesville, Ga. Prior to coming to Lakewood she worked in the insurance industry for 20 years. She loves working with people and has a desire to see everyone engaged in serving in ministry either at Lakewood or in the community.
